Privacy Policy

Draft. This is a plain-language draft, pending review by counsel. It says what Line Pool does and doesn't do; it isn't final legal text yet.
The short version: we keep an email, a name, and the boards you make. Participants only give a display name. Nothing about money exists to collect. Boards expire after 12 months; you can delete yours any time.
1. What we collect
Commissioners (people who create boards) give us an email address and password to sign in, a first and last name, an 18+ confirmation, and which kind of group they run (social, fundraiser, or just exploring).
Participants (people who join a board from a link) give us one thing: the display name they type on a spot. No account, no email, no phone number.
Boards hold what the commissioner enters: a board name, the game, the format, any note (including an optional payment handle, shown as written), and per-checkpoint notes. Line Pool adds the draw, the game scores, and timestamps.
Technical data: our hosting provider (Vercel) and database provider (Supabase) log requests (IP address, browser, pages) to run and secure the service. We do not run advertising trackers.
2. What we never collect
Money. Line Pool has no payment feature, no wallet, no balances, and no record of anything a group settles among themselves. Any payment handle on a board is the commissioner's own text; we don't verify, link, or act on it.
3. How we use it
- to sign you in and show you your boards;
- to show a board to everyone who has its link;
- to run the draw and post scores from the game feed;
- to answer support email;
- to keep the service secure and working.
We don't sell personal data and we don't use it for advertising.
4. Who else sees it
Anyone with a board's link can see that board: the names on the spots, the numbers once drawn, the scores, and the commissioner's notes. Boards are unlisted (the link is unguessable) but not secret; share it with the people you mean to.
Our providers process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), and API-Sports (game schedules and scores; we send them game identifiers, never your data). We disclose data if the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
Boards become read-only when their game ends, are archived about 30 days after the final score, and are deleted 12 months after they were created, as data minimization. A commissioner can delete their own board at any time. Records are kept on this schedule, applied the same way to every board.
Accounts are kept until you delete them (Settings → Delete account), which removes your login and profile immediately. Boards you created stay up for the people on them, without your name, until they expire.
Aggregate, non-personal usage statistics may be kept indefinitely.
6. Your choices
- Change your name or password in Settings.
- Delete a board you created from its page; delete your account from Settings.
- Ask a commissioner to clear your name from a spot (they can, on any spot).
- Email us to access, correct, or delete data we hold about you: producersamj@gmail.com.
7. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. Participants who never sign in get none from us. There is no consent banner because there is nothing optional to consent to.
8. Children
Line Pool is for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you think we have, email us and we'll delete it.
